The 7940G IP phone lets you access two lines at once, or you can access direct telephone features such as autodial while using a single line. This exceptional phone includes an integrated Ethernet switch, which allows you to pass a single ethernet connection through to your computer (two ethernet connections are not needed). Hands-free operation is also an option when you use the high-quality speakerphone. However, you can also connect the headset of your choice to the built-in headset port for hands free calling. Volume controls and a mute button let you precisely control the sound level while you are engaged in conversation. For detailed information about anyone who calls you, simply glance at the pixel-based LCD display, which shows the date and time of each call as well as the name and number of the caller. When you initiate a call on the CP-7940G, the display shows the numbers you press, so it is simple to double-check the digits you dial before actually making an outgoing call. Two programmable soft keys let you assign your most-used features to these easy-to-access buttons, and the four fixed feature keys provide added functionality to this useful phone.
